Clever boat names for a small sail boat?

-I have had my sailboat a year now and I can't think of a clever name for it. My past boats were Elation, Gamma-Ray, and Sea-Scamp...only because they came with a name on them. Any suggestions?Sailbad The Sinner is one I liked when I saw it sailing, a few seasons back on the River Waveney, UK.

But have a look here, it is often coming up on Answers! ....

DO I NEED ANY SORT OF LICENCE TO DRIVE A BOAT THAT IS 14FT IN UK WATERS?

-No you do not. YOU do not, but the boat does! On almost all inland waters boats are taxed for use on the water the way a car is taxed for use on the roads. I live near the Norfolk Broads and i have a little 10' Dinghy with a small 3hp outboard motor on it, the River licence for it is 拢96 plus you have to have 3rd Party Liability insurance which costs me another 拢65. The waterways use licences are annual (though you can often get a 2 week short stay licence) and based on the size of the craft. No you do not. YOU do not, but the boat does! Where I'm from, any vessel that has an engine or motor requires a boating license.

you need a licence to drive any motor boat.

A boat's capacity plate gives the maximum weight and/or number of people the boat can carry safely in certain?

-It is the designer's (Naval Engineer/Architect) calculations for safety of the vessel in most conditions.weather conditions.

keep in mind the limits defined on capacity plates apply in good to moderate weather conditions. In rough waters, keep the weight well below the limit. In ideal weather conditions, it is recommended that you distribute your load evenly, keep weight low, and avoid abrupt changes in distribution. This is especially important if your boat鈥檚 capacity is fully used or if weather conditions deteriorate. It is also important to remember that people represent a "live" load and moving about affects a boat quite differently than static loads. In general, shift human or other weight only after stopping or slowing

It is put there for a reason. You can be prosecuted for exceeding these ratings.

My boat motor wont start cold.?

-When I pull the plugs and put a little gas in the cylinders it starts up fine for the rest of the day. When it sets over night the same thing happens. I already got new plugs, gas tank and a new gas line.If it is an older engine you will need to squeeze the primmer bulb till firm and push the choke in and hold it till it starts and push it in a little to keep it running till it warms up.

On newer you squeeze the blub and if it has a primmer you will want push it in a few times then start.

Is your choke or primmer working? The choke will make a snapping sound when you push the key in.

When all else fails read the manual. You can find them on line or at your library.

the make,Hp and year that will be a help.
you need a new choke control

How much is my boat worth?

-1976 12 foot aluminum cretsliner with a 1976 johnson 6 horsepower motor and trailerFor that boat and that age the published book values are meaningless. Everything depends on the condition and appearance. Fully restored in like-new condition you might get as much as a few thousand. In typical used condition, but running perfectly figure perhaps $400. If anything needs serious repair or restoration, you'd be lucky to give it away or get $100.
Hello,

I can not tell you the exact amount but the market value of your 1976 12ft aluminum crestliner boat would be around $2000.You can also search on internet and contact the company or persons who deals in used & old Boats. You will get the exact idea about the market value.

I doubt if you will find your boat and outboard on NADA. (too old)

If the package is in reasonable shape, no leaks, outboard runs OK, and the trailer is roadworthy, expect to get $500 - $750.

How can i find out if my outboard is a Ignision miss fire or kicking out of gear?

-i have a video of it at a lake and i think it is kicking out of gear, but a macanic said it is a ignision miss fire, could some one look at my video and let me know? i say it is the cluch, but, well could anyone here help me? thanks charlie in newark ca.i'd start with pulling the plugs and looking at them. color and amount of deposits, if any, should tell you if both cylinders are firing evenly or not very quickly.
