-That all depends on your RATING.. What TONNAGE LEVEL and what LIMITS of Captain's license do you have and what endorsements do you have? There is a huge difference in pay and benefits and it all depends on YOU and WHAT YOU CAN DO.There are a lot different companies. It all depends on the contract. Some ships in the same company pay different. The O.T. on the ship is always taken into account. Some ships give all the O.T. you can work, while others don't give any. It also depends on if the ship in union or non-union. Non-union ships pay better, but the benefits are not there. If you go union some unions are better than others. Good luck
