I have a kawasaki jet ski 750 that will not crank unless you spray gas in carbs.. any ideas?

-it will run when i get it cranked as long as i am giving it throttle. When i let off of throttle to idle it dies.well, it obviously sounds like its not getting enough fuel, so i'd start there. possibly the carb is gunked up, idle is out of adjustment, fuel filter clogged up, is there a fuel pump - probably not, but check if fuel lines are clean, air intake is clean and air filter.
