When should you expect dangerous weather?(Boaters Ed Question)?

-a.When there is a drop in wind speed and a glassy sheen on the water

b.When there is a buildup of dark clouds and shifting winds

c.When the barometer or thermometer rises

d.When you see high, scattered cloudsI don't like any of those answers. I watch the CLOUDS and when I see MARE'S TALES then I know a change in the weather for the worst is coming and the answer to the saying of "When do you batten down the hatches" is.. WHEN YOU FIRST THINK ABOUT IT because a storm can be on top of you before you can react.. especially in the winter when you get those FAST MOVING COLD FRONTS

A storm front will not always generate a falling Barometer contrary to what the land locked types will have you believe. I would say B) is the closest thing to a proper answer
